Because I know some people will want resources, I'm here to deliver! This'll be my masterpost of art-sy links. (Yes, writing is an art to me XD) So, without further ado, let's begin!
DIGITAL ART
Tablets
Okay, Monoprice is the only kind of tablet I use, and it's actually really good. Here's the tablet I use personally. I'll put links to Monoprice and Wacom below, because those are the only two tablet companies I've heard anything good from.
Monoprice
Wacom
Art Programs
I use mostly freeware/open source for my art, so most of these will be free. ^^
Krita
FireAlpaca
Sketchbook Pro
Photoshop CS2
Manga Studio (This one will be a doozy, I use EX personally, and that costs about 200$)
OTHER ART - LINKS TO ART HELP
I'm not much of a traditional artist, but I do know of blogs and such with resources with said tutorials and help! They usually have a link on their blog, in a tags page. So, here's all the art blogs I follow. These blogs will contain writing tips, traditional and digital art tricks, and sometimes just general things you should know as to respecting an artist's work! (Like, not turning their art into a template unless you get permission first and things like that.)
Tumblr Links
Artist-Refs - My go-to place for anything art, really. They're super informative, and always really friendly. :
Art Help - Giid place for finding tips and links to help your art along!
Anatomical Art - Another go-to of mine. ^^
Art-Tutorials - This is a good place to go if you're an intermediate artist. They have a good plethera of tuts for drawing
Artist-Digest - Super sweet people running a super sweet blog! These guys are definitely worth your follow! ^^
Youtube Links
These guys helped me a lot with my art, and they continue to do so! Once I have my own channel up, I'll link to that as well, in case you want to learn from me. ^^
Sycra - Amazing artist and teacher!
Draw with Jazza - Has good tuts, as well as a flash animator. Really helpful!
Will Terrell - Guy's an awesome traditional artist. I highly recommend you check him out!
The Jetty Jet Show - This guy is great, and has a lot of fun streams and tuts. Check him out!
Sinix - This guys is great, and has a lot of inspiration and resources vids. Great for getting into the painting/drawing mood.
waveloop - Dude's awesome, and has really informative videos! I highly recommend this channel as well.
If you have a link, post it below and I'll add it into the list above! I'm adding a list of to-dos below, so you can see what I'll be adding soon! (Posting now so it's forever here XD)
