RETURN OF DRAKKUS FOR TEH FREAKIN' WIN MAJOR TRUCKER!!!!!!!! Battle for the Ages was good (really good) but it felt a little anticlimactic compared to Return of Drakkus part 1 & 2. But that's just me. Return of Drakkus was, I felt, better because there was so much going on that was unknown to the audience. 'How on earth are the humans using Mag energy like that?!' 'When the heck was Mortis such a badass?! It's like watching Yoda Fight! HOLY CRUD!!!' In Battle for the Ages, there was already an audience wide understanding of what dangers there were to be faced and that kinda takes away from the drama. At that point we already knew they were going to win because of the advanced techniques they all knew. "Ep 26 part 2" Artha- "Why did Beau Half to choose ME?!?! Why Couldn't he choose my Father!?" Mortis- "Why don't you ask him..." *Big reveal* Lance- "DAD!!!!" *hugs his Father for the first time in forever.* Conner- "Beau WOULDN'T Choose me! He chose YOU, Artha..." When you read the Alchemist, you get a phenomenal understanding of how painful that would be for Conner to admit considering Magna Draconis said Conner was secretly hoping to be the DB.

And that's two....sorta, I have no idea what you want, so I'll make two to start derp That's the one I was thinking of, except with the mag stream labeled "FEELS". This is why I wished I could gif, not to insult you so please don't take it personally, but then I'd get the exact effect I'm looking for. Maybe I'll do a flash animation once I learn how to use it lol Personally, while Battle for the Ages was more feels-y, I prefer the Return of Drakkus. So much going on and so many wonderful moments of tension in all the right places. But, I'll admit Battle for the Ages had a different kind of tension, with so many wonderful character developments being shown in their full form, along with many plot devices finally being used properly. It had it's moments, and was wonderful in a different sort of way. But overall Return of Drakkus was much, much better in terms of fight scene. So much tension and actual fear for Artha's and Moordryd's lives... Those are the battles I live for!

Not sure why it's smaller thought, I didn't change the size, and I can't make it bigger on here...I did upload it directly to the boards...hmmm =.= I love how Artha goes like "WHEEEEEE" like a rag doll, it's funny >:3 Maybe I'll make a gif tut for people who wanna gif, my bro showed me how to do it; you only need two programs and a little know how ;] I post it in PrettyKitty's gifs and garble in the fanart section when it's ready :3

I agree with the general comments made by Ro and AM, but I'm a bit more tied as to which episode was better. Return of Drakkus had so many new things being revealed to us, and was the introduction to mag fighting, so it was a very epic 1-2 episodes. But Battle for the Ages was the episode where old enemies came together for greater cause and where Moordryd and Artha find out each other's Booster identities and learn that the original SB & DB worked together too. I can't decide which one's better; Return of Drakkus was more intense but Battle for the Ages was more feelsy .____. It's smaller because it's displayed as a preview. We can click that gif though and it'll open it up in a new tab/window as the full size you made it as

I'm on the fence too, if there was a way to combine the good points of both episodes we'd have a winner here My favorite parts in RoD was when Lance said "We're not gonna get outta here" it really brought the point home of what kinda danger they were all in! And in BftA: Artha & Moordy find out about each other, which is a really big turning point in the plot & at the end, Artha finnaly begins to think that there is redemption for Moordy as both becoming a friend and ally later on LOVE IT >///< And in Damaged goods, I like how Moordy took it like a real good sport that both he and artha made i t into academy! but Word was all pouty LOL every time I see him put his fists on his hips I just die laughing XD what is he? 5??

I loved it when Moordy/SB & Word/Drakkus run off and Mortis asks Artha "What was that all about?" and Artha just says "Hope Dad. Hope." That then also really hit home after the final events in Damaged Goods.

Any other faves people have for episodes?
Strangely enough, mine are simply episodes with Conner. Anyone else feel they should've delved into his character more than they did? Honestly, WHERE the HECK was Conner in episodes like "The Mouth that Roared" When Lance is trying to tell everyone about Malto!?
Episodes with the Prophets are great too!

That was the intention right before the show got dropped- hence the episode "The Alchemist". I so do love Word's antics At times, he seems like this intelligent and dark master-mind, and then we see moments where he's himself and vulnerable- and human. Despite also loving Connor a lot, I kinda miss Mortis sometimes in the later episodes o-o He carried a different presence than Connor does now as himself.

NOPE! Conner all the way!! Mortis was cool and all but let's face it, Conner is officially the coolest dad in cartoon history being a clucking DRAGON PRIEST as well as a full time Dad! Any thoughts on the keepers?

I do believe there was a picture of Stewardd's dragon on the official site somewhere, which is what StormRyda's templates were based on/from?
