Anyone else here into anime? If so, what's your poison? I've just recently started Avatar: The Last Airbender after hearing so much about it and saying for ages that I would watch it, and I'm really loving it so far

Avatar isn't technically anime, It's American. What's funny is the writing is Korean.... or is it Taiwanese? Either way, No "American" Could've written something as clever as Avatar. Like how Dragon Booster is Canadian! I'm into One Piece, Case Close, a little Fruits Basket (Anime only) Sherlock Hound (a Classic) Hakuouki (historical Drama) Hetalia. Everything I watch is English dubbed. and the classics, Full Metal Alchemist and FMA: Brotherhood! The first one was good but Brotherhood is the true adaptation of the original manga. Highly reccomended!

My poisons would have to be Soul Eater (manga over anime, but the anime has a better end for that shy kid), I drabbled in Bleach for a while, I watched Black Butler, I'm well-versed in InuYasha, Madoka Magica was also a good anime, however short, 11 Eyes was just... Eh, 11 episodes, but trippy as shit. There's also a few other animes that I'm not remembering off the top of my head as well. All of this Japanese dubbed, english subbed.
For Manga, however, I've recently gotten into Blame! and it's off-shoots, as well as interconnected series. That one is trippy as well, and more visual then dialogue-heavy, but still really clever and well done.

A great HERO makes a story interesting... But a great VILLAIN makes it a legend.

When I was younger I used to watch the Pokemon anime, but other than that I haven't really watched any, though I probably will since my friend will kill me if I don't XD

Ehhh it's pretty darn close to anime, much like DB is! It's not technically I know, but it's really good and deserves the credit Hmm I was thinking about giving FMA a go after I finish the Avatar seasons. Smaug- join me when I start watching Full Metal Alch and we can chat about it And there's nothing wrong with Pokemon, I still love it <3 Are there any that you guys know of that are more horror-genre orientated? I love horror movies and such, but it's so hard to find good ones~ For those who would like something that's not human-orientated, and like animals, Ginga Densetsu Weed is an amazing series (although short and not dubbed- it was WAY too violent to make it out of Japan haha). Other animes I watch are B-Daman (based on Japanese marble shooting toys), Medabots (a nice light-hearted but still good series about kids having "pet" robots). I guess Digimon counts too? But my all time favourite anime... Zoids. Giant mecha-robots based off different animals, that a person sits inside and pilots, and uses for battle, either in war or for competitions. Spectacular stuff though I only recommend watching until the 3rd (Fuzors) series, it's starts going downhill after that T__T Lovely storylines, they include actual military tactics in the war seasons so you learn some stuff along the way~

Hmm I was thinking about giving FMA a go after I finish the Avatar seasons. You've never seen FMA or FMAB??? May I suggest Deadman Wonderland, very gritty, dark and twisted, not my personal cuppa, But you may like it :] there's an anime for it, but it doesn't cover the whole story.. There's also the acid trip known only as Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, it's also a manga, but I hear the anime (somehow) makes more sense... Have you ever seen the Mobile Suit series?? that's aslo a war drama, but my favorites are Gundam SEED & the continuation Gundam SEED Destiny, very very good ^^ hehe, as I said before, I'm more into manga, mainly because it's cheaper easier on my internet, but I've read A LOT of manga, not every one of them I've liked mind you, but I can usually suggest pretty decent stuff, but most of what I read also has an anime for you 4G folk Off topic, look up an anime called "Gin No Saji" aka " Silver Spoon" a light hearted slice of life in farming acadeny and also The Heroic Legend of Arslan which is a fantasy war drama, thease were both made by the same gal who wrote FMA, so I highly recommend both, but I think only Silver spoon has an anime.. ----and that's my rant ^^"

Haha I know, that's why it's on my list for next to watch! After the Avatar series anyway. Ooh those sound really cool, I'm going to add them to my list! And thanks for the link to the manga, I'll probably end up reading that and watching the anime Yup, I've heard of the Mobile Suit series, I see plenty of Gundam model kits on Ebay when looking for Zoid ones haha. It's a series that's also on my to-watch list~ That intro to the Silver Spoon manga... you describe it as 'life in the farming academy' but that intro looks full on haha! That other manga also looks really cool I'd love to have physical copies of them with me though, they seem perfect to read outside under the shade of a tree on a hot day <3

IT.IS.FUNNY, but there's also good drama in it too, I never miss a chapter <3 okay, okay, is there any anime.manga you ever witnessed that you hated?

It's a really neat perspective to take on Hmm come to think of it, I can't really think of one, but I think that's because I don't watch to great a variety of anime. I'm not a fan of ones where they make girls unrealistic though- that 'Barbie' skinny body that's physically impossible, with massive boobs and a large butt. This is something I really appreciate of The Legend of Korra's character design- Korra is a really well designed and proportionally accurate female. Reminds me a lot of Ro's Yuki actually

I'll confess, I've always wanted to marathon Avatar:LAB (and possibly LOK), I've seen some of the best episodes of Avatar, but have never had the opportunity (cough cough internet/money cough) to see the entire series :[ maybe I'll put that on my B-day wish list for May >:] One anime/manga I saw that I'm not too crazy about (because anything I've really hated my memory has phased out for me) is Fairy Tail, if you watch the ainme it's good, but if you're a decent kinda person, don't read the manga for he sake of how the womenz are dressed example that and the story has gotten reelleh borrin', just like BLEACH, so maybe I'll see if my bro'll torrent Avatar for me or something, idk if you can get boxset dvd's anymore for that show :\

Yeah, that comparison right there- those types of manga depictions sometimes make it into anime as well and as a tomboy, it drives me nuts -___-
I wish I could send you the files somehow but that still involves downloading & internet which is you current problem D: Definitely recommend watching the whole series through, just finished LAB and it was absolutely amazing <3 Don't know why I didn't start sooner!! I'm starting on LOK now and I'm a few episodes in- kinda hoping it gets better. It's good don't get me wrong, but I'm finding so far that LAB was better than LOK but I haven't seen all of LOK yet so I'll reserve my review till then!

I actually had a stoke of genius! (or maybe just a stroke) If you can fit the entire Avatar series on a USB thumb drive (say 16-32 GB, get 'em pretty cheap) you could mail me a thumb drive with the Avatar series on it! ..................Am I crazy or just poor for thinking this up? input?
(I need reassurance that I haven't lost my mind yet)

That's not a bad idea actually. It would take ages though- USBs those big are expensive here (everything in my country is expensive because we're a damn island in the middle of no where -___- which is why I buy everything online), I can get one online and when it arrives, fill it up and then send it to you? Would take just over a month though. Is the main issue downloading everything or even just watching individual episodes online? Because I have a really good site where you can watch all the episodes online for free- linkey-link.

Pretty much my internet use in general is limited, My family gets 40 GB a month and a surcharge of $5 per Gb you go over that limit There are a lot of people in my house, so we blow through 40Gb pretty easy, that that why downloading or streaming online is pretty much the same thing...internet costly If you could find out how much space it would all take up, I'd take care of getting a USB thumb and I send it to you, you fill it up and ship it back to me,That way you'd only have to pay the postage to ship it back to me If you're up for doing this that is...
